- "Hell's Kitchen" does barbecue for the first time ever, and the chefs are challenged to prepare pork-themed dishes with their chosen ingredients. But when the red team fails to keep cool under pressure, Chef Ramsay gives them a piece of his mind.—Fox Publicity
- The ladies are surprised at how quickly Autumn bails to join the guys. Scott kicks back with the ladies, telling them he's there to be a team player, while telling interview he's there for Scott.
In the morning, the chefs dress up in butcher's outfits. They go visit adorable little baby piglets in a pen and watch as chef Ramsey sharpens his knives. But they're not going to kill pigs - they have to catch them. Each one is wearing a collar with an ingredient and a pork cut. The teams get to collar-grabbing, because chasing piglets in a muddy pen is totally cooking-related.
Nilka has some problems with an ingredient. "I was trying to get bacon but bacon was too damn fast," she says.
The blue team cruises and Nilka finally gets her first ingredient: blood sausage.
The squirmy little bugger keep slipping out of the chefs muddy grasps, but they're finally done.
They decide which ingredient is the best to go with which cut. Blood sausage and prunes on the red team seems problematical, but Scott insists.
They head to cooking. Scott tells us he's going to sit back and watch, while making tons of suggestions to the women.
In the blue team, Jason shoots down all of Autumn's suggestions.
In the oven, Nilka and Fran's blood sausage explodes. They're against Benjamin and Ed. Nilka tells Chef she's not happy with the plate and he confirms it by spitting it out. When he asks who suggested the pairing, nobody calls out Scott.
The blue team gets the point.
Holli and Siobhan with tenderloin and apple are against Jason and Autumn with their honey glazed bacon. Chef says the dish needs mustard, which is what is what Jason shot down from Autumn.
Red team gets the point.
Maria and Scott with ham hock and sweet potato soup versus Jay and Salvatore with pork chop and pinto beans. Maria babbles out of nerves.
Blue team gets the point.
Punishment time. Red team get the overalls. They'll be cleaning pigs while the blue team gets robes and heads to a hot spring.
Outside, the pigs do not want to be cleaned.
At the hot springs, Autumn enjoys her massage while the dudes go to "the grotto," which Jay says "may have been the gayest thing I've ever done in my entire life." They get painted with seaweed wraps, chat and shower together then get massages.
Back at pig bath, the squealing is deafening. Cut to the men basking in a mud bath, appreciating their new team member Autumn in a bikini.
At the dorm they sit around and smoke and chat. Fran calls Salvatore "the Italian Dr. Phil." Holli confesses to having the biggest porn collection out of anyone she knows. Siobhan used to do S & M and dominatrix stuff.
Time for the fifth dinner service. Chef Ramsey tells them they're doing barbecue.
With hours to go before service, Chef Ramsey chews out Nilka for frying chicken way too early.
Before service, Chef Ramsey tells them they're double booked and doing double service. Hell's Kitchen opens.
The menu includes smoked ribs, a kobe beef burger and crab hush puppies. Maria undercooks crab and gets yelled at. Salvatore works the dining room and again Chef Ramsey can't read his writing. He asks him if he went to school. Salvatore says no, he was helping support his family. "The red team was a disaster, they'd just like stop in the middle of dinner service and fight," Scott says as the women do just that.
Fran successfully get appetizers out. Autumn gets some of Siobhan's burgers sent back for being undercooked.
In the kitchen, Chef Ramsey yells at Scott for over-frying chicken and leaving the oven door open.
When the redone burgers up to go out, Chef Ramsey notices one is still under-done. He emphasizes his point by bashing it to bits with his bare hand. The red team's dinner seating is over. On to blue. The red team tries to work the dining room.
In the kitchen, the blue team tries and fails to get through to Salvatore. Maria realizes that she and Holli both took orders for the same table.
Checking Autumn's order of ribs, he finds that they're ice cold in the center. An hour and a half into the service the diners have apps, but not the one they ordered. Maria took the wrong order. They have 25 minutes to get dinner out.
Jason gets caught dropping the chicken in the French fries and then doesn't finish his dinner in time.
After, Chef Ramsey says it was their worst dinner yet. The losing team is the red team. But Fran impressed chef.
She's off to think of who to nominate for elimination. Scott lobbies Fran to select Maria and anyone else.
Fran tells chef Maria is an "emotional rollercoaster and she's kept us down long enough." The second nominee is Nilka, which is a surprise to her.
Chef's surprised it's not Scott and calls him up, too. He sends Nilka back.
Maria says she can do better. Scott says he works harder than anyone else.
The person leaving is: Maria.
"I really didn't show the heart, I didn't show all of my capabilities, but based on performance alone, Scott had a worse service than me," she says.
Chef tells Fran she should have followed her instincts and selected Scott. "I hope Fran feels like a jacka-- right now, because she should," Nilka says.
Fran admits she showed back judgment.
