Bird in the Hand

The Glades

Edit

Continuity

In the pilot episode, Jim is portrayed as a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) lieutenant complete with FHP badge. In this episode, he is a Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) special agent complete with raid vest and FDLE badge. These agencies are completely separate, as there is no Florida State Police agency. The agency change was never explained.
Jim's fingers on his phone suddenly change position between shots when he's with Eduardo at the bar showing him the photo of the bird on his phone.

Factual errors

The bird found in the plane is identified as a hyacinth macaw and is described as endangered and being valued at $40-$50 thousand dollars. The bird in fact isn't a macaw it is a juvenile aged Conure.
The great crested newt is not a critically endangered species, and, in fact is listed as a species of "least concern" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Revealing mistakes

Near the end there is a young fella pushing a lawn mower, looking like he is working hard. There was no lawn to mow.
Later Longworth goes to check the plane again. He is shown approaching from out of the trees. If there is a grassy area where he could drive to the plane, why did he walk through the scrub?
