Longworth's golf game is interrupted after a decapitated, unidentifiable woman is found in a creek. Longworth does everything he can think of to try and identify the victim and find the killer, even pestering his golf partner Carlos who's the medical examiner. Chicago PD detective Jim Longworth has accepted a transfer to the Glades, although he hates them. Relaxes police chief and grumpy medical examiner rather happily leave the sleuthing to Jim. After a woman was eaten by a cayman, but killed before, Jim keeps asking the right, annoying questions to everyone, including attractive nurse Callie Cargill, a single mother whose son Jeff's need for a father-figure fits Jim too.
