One of my pleasures in looking at these very early movies is their extremely short length. The first thousand or so Lumiere movies are each less than a minute, and so there is time for the film to have one or two points in subject, maybe one or two more technically. This makes them easy for a guy like me to analyze. So a very short example of Mitchell & Kenyon's genre of real people in crowds, like this one, is made just for me.
Alas, once that's noted, there's not much to it. The Electrical Edwardians produced other movies of people leaving church, several of them on the same trip as this one. This one is shot from a greater distance.
