Portrait Of A City On Sunday
It's a slow panorama shot of the front of a church in Cork, as people leave.
Mitchell & Kenyon sent their camera crews over the Irish Sea on several occasions. On this trip, they seem to have sent them to several churches, always to take movies of people as they left each house of worship. Filming crowds of people in real life was something they did frequently, on the assumption that people would like to see themselves on the screen in a movie theater. Over in their Lancashire home base, they would shoot crowds at football matches or parades, or downtown. Over in Cork, they obviously made the decision that people would prefer to see themselves near church.
