Hm, I wonder why does this show has so many bad reviews even though it's one of the best shows Disney have ever made! It's actually my most favorite Disney sitcom, the cast did their characters pretty well and they're really adorable ALL OF THEM. Some people might find Gunther and Tinka rude judging by their attitude toward Cece and Rocky but hey sometimes they also act nice with them they're actually frenemies what else do you expect them to do? Anyway the plot is great the cast are amazing everything in this show is awesome too bad it got cancelled after three seasons but I'll still be waiting for a reunion someday I won't lose hope.

I love the show! I think Roshon Fegan and Adam Irigoyen make it awesome. They are so funny. I love the show and i'm not like 7. I think that the only thing that could change is CeCe's clothing. It's over layered, but otherwise it's an amazing show! I am very excited that the show is going to become a movie as well. I think that it will make it very cool. Overall, my favorite character would have to be Deuce. Then Ty, then Zendaya and then CeCe. It really is a good show, most of these people are being mean, but it's not true. It is a good show. Watch it and you'll see, I really like the intro actually. If it gets better ratings more people will give it a chance. It is worth watching, honestly. I like Zendaya's personality, she also makes the show awesome.

First of all EVERYONE I've talked to about this show has really enjoyed it so far. Disney shows are typical of having relatively thin plots, if you're expecting elaborate drama-filled entertainment you're watching the wrong channel. That being said I've found "Shake it Up" to be INCREDIBLY entertaining. The dancing is truly great in my opinion (I have a background in ballet, jazz, and hip hop and recognize seasoned performers when i see them). "Quest Crew" has already made an appearance in one of the very first episodes and there is NO DOUBT that they are a talented group of dancers. I've found the acting to be good as well, especially when compared to shows like "JONAS" or "I'm in The Band". The main characters "Cece" and "Rocky" have genuine chemistry and in my opinion add a fun and youthful edge to the face of Disney. Co-stars like Roshon Fegan and Adam Irigoyen add timely comic relief and truly complement the Chicago based setting in which the show takes place.

I'm immensely surprised at how passionately people have shown hate towards this show, especially considering how the majority of naysayers admit to being adults; it is possible that this is a show that can only be enjoyed from the perspective of a teen like myself; the ideal demographic that shows like this are catered towards. Nevertheless, "Shake it Up" has bumped Hannah Montana as my second favorite show on the Disney Channel.

Overall I encourage you to watch it for yourself and form your own opinions.

I think that Shake It Up! has an okay concept. Personally, I think that Shake It Up! is one of Disney's better shows in their new wave of shows. I couldn't watch a few of the other shows that Disney has offered. I hated Hannah Montana, and now I mostly avoid Disney because of the current shows like Sonny with a Chance, So Random, and A.N.T. Farm.

I read some of the bad User Reviews for this show and I don't think that its fair to blame the actors for some of the bad moments of the show. If you tried to act out the script i don't think it would sound very good coming from you. I think that if Disney got some new writers for the show it would be really good and get fewer bad reviews.

I like the actors that Disney has chosen though, Bella Thorne is pretty, and the entire cast makes the script seem as good as it can be. The cast also seems like they could be good role models, most of them participate in Disney's helping the world stuff and they seem nice during their interviews.

To conclude, I believe that Shake It Up is one of the best current Disney shows, though most of Disney's shows are boring now.

I don't see why everyone say this show is awful... it's really great ! I have loved this show since the begging. I know Disney channel shows are sometimes bad but it does not mean the people are bad actors. The actors are good but the scripts are cheesy. Any way i think this show is wonderful ! The stars Bella and Zendaya rock ! Disney picked the right people for the job they do great . This show is a great example for kids that are living their dreams . This show may not be as good as others in the past but they can't get much more than what they have already had .I think the point this show has is to never give up on your dreams because it is possible for them to come true.

This show is awesome! I may be 21 but I love it. I love the dance moves and the comedy in the show. It shows children that your dreams can come true...and it shows there is such thing of having a best friend who you can do anything with even fulfilling your dreams with them. The two main actors are awesome. Even the other characters who play Flynn, Duece, Rocky's brother, and Cece's mom are good. And of course Gunther and Tinka. Its a good family comedy show. Im a kid at heart and this show is defiantly one of the good shows I have seen on Disney channel. This show also will show the kids how to dance on their website they can dance along w. it if they want. I by far give it a ten.

Personally from a kids perspective i LOVE this show, it has likable characters, light humour, and above all talented dancers. The cast is made up of young talent that i think will add youthfulness to Disney's small group of actors. Stars like Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Dylan and Cole Sprouse are all 18 now and I think its time younger kids where added to the Disney Channel so that younger teens can find characters to relate to.

Initially i thought the overall concept of the show may end up similar to "Hannah Montana" and "Sonny With a Chance" but in watching "Shake it up" I've found it to be quite distinct simply as a result of the personalities within the show; all the actors seem to complement each others talents and seem like a tight group of friends already. I'm really interested in seeing where this series ends up going.

From reading previous reviews I'm not too sure why adults are spending their time critiquing this show as it's not age appropriate; Disney programs are generally aimed at young audiences and grown people really should not be watching it in the first place.

So wow to a lot of the reviews on here but I guess everyone has their own opinion. I personally saw this show when it first aired and had to agree with a lot of people... It Was stupid but after watching and enjoying many of the other shows on Disney Channel I decided to give it another chance and honestly I love it. Lets get real here folks most of the shows on Disney channel have somewhat bad acting. Its a channel that's meant to appeal to kids and I really would not call it bad acting so much as I would call it bad script writing. Some of the jokes they have the actors and actresses say are just plan stupid but I feel this show has done a great job it does teach kids never to give up on their dreams and also I like the friendship bounds it reminds me a lot of Hannah Montana and I thought that show had an awesome run. Keep it up Disney Channel!!!

After seeing the first commercial I went into this show with very low low low expectations. After watching the first episode I could not wait until the next! The main characters Cece (Bella) and Rocky (Zendaya) Try out for their favorite dance show, shake it up Chicago. After watching the first 10 minutes I already had some favorite characters! Duece, the con man type kid who from all the episodes I've seen (all of them) seems like the main girls' close friend, Gunther and Tinka, the sparkly foreign exchange students, who are my favorite characters and, Cece and Rocky's frenemies, and Ty, Rocky's older brother. Flyn I like but seemed very bratty and over dramatic in the first episode but, when Henry started to appear on the show he became more realistic and funny! I loved this show the moment I saw the first episode and have not hated any episode since. This show is more for a tween young teen audience unlike other DC shows. I don't get why the adults don't like this show. Maybe I'm just more optimistic being a tween myself and being able to relate to this show more than adults. I give it ten out of ten!

This show is fantastic for all ages. I Love the cast and the characters especially gunther and tinka! They are so funny. The accents were a great choice.

I think it takes a lot of work to memorize lines and to remember all of the steps of choreography.

The dances are exciting and fun to watch.

The music and songs are great for dancing along to or listening to in your car.

Disney has done a great job in choosing the right cast for this show.

I love it! I am 13 and watch it all the time. Best show ever! Cece and Rocky are both amazing actresses! and I love Ty he is funny. I also love the theme song by SELENA GOMEZ! but i have also learned some new dance moves. So i also learn while i watch TV. But my favorite part is its funny. Every one in my family loves it. The producer guy in it is fun to. Also my little brother likes the funny weird stuff like the big meatball. I at first thought it would be stupid but it turns out to be one of my favorite show. Also the "exchange students" are funny to. Flynn is funny because he is young but also with a sense of humor. I think Deuce shows that u can be smart and still be able to dance. if u don't like this show then something is wrong with you. But you also have to give the writer, Directors and producers credit because they all have done a good job with the show. Plus they must have a sense of humor. To be in charge of this show you have to.

Shake It Up is a really good show guys. Sure they don't have the best actors but come on guys its Disney Channel the actors good for Disney channel. Every episode is fun and different and it doesn't use old things from other shows. This show and Good Luck Charlie are the 2 shows that are keeping Disney Channel alive and standing. Unlike Jessie, ANT Farm and Austin & Ally. These 3 shows are just washed up preteen nonsense/garbage which is boring, unreal and not very appealing. In conclusion shake it up is a brilliant show with actors suited to the channel. it doesn't have a mindless plot and actually makes sense.

The hate that Shake It Up received in its time was quite unfair, I was always a big fan of the show, also a big defender of the show, that was during the show lasted, that I always felt that it could have lasted 1 or 2 more seasons, even though the third season is not as good as the previous two seasons, but I still saw it again on Disney+, I thought it would be one of those series that you watched when you were younger and now that you grew up you don't like it anymore, but it was the opposite, I loved the show again, it is not complex and it is not the peak of comedy, it is a simple, sweet and fun series, when I saw it again, I remembered why I liked it from the beginning, the characters with highs and lows are endearing and you can sympathize with them, the episodes and their situations are funny, the clothes could have been too weird and the dance steps too simple, but that's part of the show, they were teenagers growing up and giving their first dances, the soundtrack is incredible, it's maybe the best soundtrack I've ever heard in a TV series and even though the show never had enough guts to make CeCe and Gunther a canon couple lol, maybe you should give this show a chance, it's not perfect, but it has more charisma and charm than the current Disney comedies, it is one of the best series that Disney has made in its history.

Ya, I see all the negative feedback and reviews, But come one people, this is Disney show on cable, not a James Cameron film.. It is what is is.

Let's see, I don't have children, but I would rather have them watch this instead of the junk on network TV.

This show is a witty, funny, light hearted Tween comedy.

I have no idea what this guy is doing or has done, but I will say, Chris Thompson, you did a great job.

Quit reading in to it too much..don't try to dissect it. enjoy it.

ALSO, I am not a tween. I'm mid aged and think this show is really funny and entertaining. You can only watch CNN and CSI for so long.

Furthermore, I'm tired of having to watch cartoon movies with voices from the stars in the theaters and PPV's Now that's a travesty!

I personally think it's a humorous (in a good way) to have two talented female friends as lead characters. They have the best fashion style, the music on the show is dope. The choreography is really amazing! The characters are cool, cringy, but very fun loving too! I love Zendaya during the show's run and today! Shake It Up shows the importance of friendships, growing up, and achieving your life long dreams. This show is a witty, funny, light hearted Tween comedy. It would've been nice Shake It Up had a TV movie to end things on a more proper note; like seeing who Rocky's future husband looks like, how Ty and Tinka fell in love, Cece and Logan, and Deuce and Dina. The TV movie should've brought back Gunther and find him a love interest. Overall, Shake It Up is a very entertaining show. So I understand why the negative reviews? I bet those haters are jealous they don't have to style and swag like all the cast members do on and off the Shake It Up set.

This is the best show ever! It is about two girls who did the impossible to follow their dreams! They are amazing little girls and the show has a great meaning! Nicole's a l o s e r for not loving this show, and she just wishes she could be a great dancer like those little amazing girls! They are great little dancers! And just with the song when it begins, oh man, it is great! ANT farm is not all that great but thats only because the actors are so young and it sometimes seems staged. Just like in shake it up little homeboy brother Flinn isn't all that good. but still adorable! THIS SHOW IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN FRIENDS. which isn't good because Nicole likes it.
