Jason Statham and Catherine Chan in Safe (2012)

Goofs

Safe

Edit

Continuity

Inconsistent lighting from shot to shot during the meeting between Captain Wolf and Chang. When the camera is facing Chang, he's shown to be backlit by the sun. In the reverse angles, with the camera on Wolf, Chang is, like Wolf, standing out of direct sunlight.
When Alex is getting ready to fight Luke he is wearing gray pants. But Mei shoots Alex in the leg, his pants are brown in color, and when Luke picks him a gun to kill Alex, they are gray again.
When Luke pulls out the iPhone in the taxi, the time at the top of the screen says 7.55pm. In the next shot the time has jumped to 7.57pm.

Factual errors

"Luke Wright" (Jason Statham) is shown coming out of a Chemical Bank branch. They were bought out in New York City several years before this film was made. Obviously, that scene must have been shot in Philadelphia.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

After Luke flips one of the tables in the restaurant, he shoots a Russian goon through the table. The table is obviously flexible which can be seen by the dent in the table as Luke pushes the gun against it.

It's the fitted vinyl table cover ballooning under muzzle blast pressure. The apparent dent is a bulge. An optical illusion due to the way the light is reflected. Tables are not flexible.

Revealing mistakes

The dead sneaker guy in the homeless shelter is still breathing - although he is supposed to be dead already.

Miscellaneous

When purchasing new clothes for himself and the kid after taking the Russian's, Mr Ivanoff's, wallet, the receipt the clerk has him sign is for $0.00. Just under 40mins in.
Luke mentions "a series of lockers in Grand Central". He was referring to Grand Central Terminal. Since, 9/11, lockers have been removed from many airports, train & bus stations, etc. Especially in New York City. This film was set present day when it was released in 2012. Therefore, the lockers didn't exist anymore.

Luke didn't say they did exist. He merely included them in the list of possible and impossible hiding places.
While on the run and hiding out from the Russian Mafia, using a Russian gangster's credit card after killing him to rent out a hotel room isn't the smartest thing to do. The mob can track and trace the card to that particular hotel.
