Continuity

Early in the episode, Lassiter says to McNabb, "put time of death sometime yesterday on the... Twelfth." with a small gap between the and twelfth. Later in the episode when that moment is shown again, the gap is nonexistent.
When Shawn and Juliet argue in the lab, she uncrosses her arms and lets them hang loose. They remain so until Tonya returns except for one shot where they are suddenly crossed again.
When Gus and Lassiter are tap dancing in the conference room Shawn and Juliet catch them through the window. When Gus and Lassiter come out of the room and the camera switches back and forth between the two teams; the window shade behind Shawn and Juliet goes from closed to opened. Then Gus and Lassiter walk away and the window shade behind Shawn and Juliet is closed again.

Factual errors

Lassiter postulates that Ben killed Desiree to avoid losing half his property in a break up because the couple would be considered to be in a common law marriage. Later, Gus suggests that Lassiter's theory was wrong because the couple had to cohabit for seven years to qualify as a common law marriage. However, California doesn't recognize common law marriage regardless of the number of years of cohabitation.

Revealing mistakes

When Desiree's car is pulled from the water, the gear selector is in the PARK position. It should have been in DRIVE since the car was driven into the water.

Miscellaneous

While the first car is being lifted from the lake, the seated driver (whom is supposed to be dead), had her left hand on the window, then she moves it to the steering wheel.

Errors in geography

Gus and Shawn are eating hot dogs from Japadog, a restaurant that is only in Vancouver, BC. While filmed in Vancouver, the show takes place in Santa Barbara, CA where there are no Japadogs.
