When Randy Jackson is cutting a 2x4 on a table saw (when Juliet visits him), the first shot only shows a close-up of the blade cutting partway through the wood. On the second shot, he is seen passing the fully cut pieces across a stopped saw blade while sawdust is blown up around the blade.

When Shawn is looking at a page in the yearbook, the picture of Jack is partially visible on the very next page. However, when Shawn goes looking for the photo club he turns several pages to get to that picture.

The library classification was not the Dewey Decimal Classification as stated in this episode but rather the Library of Congress Classification. Note F796 covers the state of New Mexico.

At the beginning of the episode, Gus picks up a loaf of monkey bread from a table at the start of the Cinnamon Festival. That wasn't monkey bread, which generally is not prepared as a loaf.

When Shawn and Gus have a diary passage from Paula's diary translated from Latin, Father Peter Westleyabout says that it references a meeting with someone referred to only as "J". The Latin alphabet does not include the letter J. However, there was no need for Paula to stick to the Latin alphabet just to write an initial.

Strangely, Father Peter Westley bungles a Biblical quote when he says "Judge not that ye may be judged, Gus." The quote is commonly said as "Judge not lest ye be judged" or "Judge not, that ye be not judged," but what Father Westley says makes no sense at all.

When Sean receives the email with the coordinates of the book, there's a close-up of his prone screen. In the status bar the the WiFi logo is visible, indicating he's connected to WiFi.

When Sheriff Jackson is speculating on the cause of death, he posits that Paula went swimming and was pulled under by the current; the body of water is a lake, which has no current.
