A Grand Fear on an Intimate Scale
tonyecrumpton19 May 2010
With this film, director Mathew Kister has succeeded in showing it is possible to make an engaging low-budget film outside of the confines of the studio system. What it lacks in budget OUTPOST DOOM makes up in charm and creativity.

The story of a handful of strangers brought together under dire circumstances is at once familiar and yet handled in such a fresh way that you become enraptured in the proceedings and actually CARE for the protagonists as their dire circumstances tear them apart both emotionally and physically one-by-one.

While the acting may not be Academy Award winning material, each performer brings an immediacy and resonance to their role that will have you on the edge of your seat

If you are a fan of classic Black & White horror films of times gone by, and enjoy films that rely on story and substance over explosions and jump-cuts, then put OUTPOST DOOM on your must-see list.
