I've watched a lot of short movies on the internet... perhaps too many. But Blacklist is right up there as one of my favourites of all time.
So where do I start? It's an extremely well put together production which captures the atmosphere perfectly. You're hooked intently wondering what will happen next. The visuals, dialogue and music blend together and compliment each other perfectly. The anticipation level that all of this creates is akin to the infamous restaurant scene in the Godfather where Al-pacino is at the table with a concealed gun.
But the real eye opener was the plot. Yeah sure, when I read the synopsis I assumed it would be a simple plot. On the surface it is. But it has so many layers of complexity and draws so many analogies you could take the concept and apply it to almost any scenario.
I eagerly look forward to the next Roberto Iacurci production.
