Anything TG post Richard, Jeremy, James, tends to get unfairly torn to shreds. I think this is a decent Christmas special with some really funny moments, like the pictionary segment. It also has some fairly touching ones too like when they gift each other the cars and talk about what Christmas at home was like growing up. Everything else is just ok. Theres fun to be had bumbling about in cool cars with the backdrop of the holidays. Nothing more, nothing less. Also for the comment saying Paddy and Freddie are tough to understand, just stick with it and use subtitles if it's that distracting. It gets easier to understand them if you give them a chance.

I like Chris and Freddie , they have potential but when teamed with Paddy in this they're all struggling. It becomes a forced and false pastiche of the glory days. Just as Top Gear reinvented itself with the Clarkson concept all those years ago , perhaps the wheel has turned back to that point ? I must be honest , for me there's no stand out moment at all in the episode.
I say it again...

As a victim of British colonialism 4 generations later, an Indian in South Africa being displaced from my natural domain, I volunteer that I've mastered English. Not only can I write, read, and speak the language, I perceive it's greatest nuances and embedded humour in every possible manner.
But in this trio of presenters, I understand one person: Chris Harris. The cricketing chap and the other guy - I'm at a complete loss. They may think they speak English, but it's a highly distant language to the English I know.
I hate having to have to put effort into understanding someone, and these two fellows just make the last few seasons of this show hard work.
Yes, I can switch it off. I know. But I remain affixed mainly because it's a reminder that I revel in chaos. I genuinely want to see how much worse this can get.
Honestly. Can we get some English speaking people here?
