Brooke consults with an interior designer to create a lavish workplace to highlight her new position at Forrester Creations. Brooke then tells Connor that she may want to marry him someday but not immediately. Connor reluctantly agrees to wait for a while. Stephanie gets settled into her new much smaller office when Sheila stops by. The women trade barbs and ridicule each other's significance for the company. Stephanie warns Sheila that her new career will be short-lived because Connor will have Brooke fire her eventually. After learning from Eric that Connor proposed to Brooke, Ridge confronts his former lover why she turned it down. Ridge suggests that Brooke is still on the rebound because he chose Taylor. Brooke tells Ridge that she feels nothing for him and kisses him to prove it. Sheila gets in an argument with Connor over being excluded in the preparations for the first board meeting under Brooke's tenure. Connor makes it clear that he considers Sheila nothing more but a receptionist and will do everything in his power to exclude her from important business decisions. Sheila fumes.
