- 'A breakthrough film' quoted The Financial Times. WoolfWomen chronicles a true story about 5 zoomers who embark on an adrenaline driven, skateboard adventure to the Pontic Mountains. Part film and part diary, Now or Never captures the immovable bond shared by Schauerte and co-skaters Anna Pixner, Lisa Peters, Jasmijn Hanegraef, and Alejandra Salamandra as they journey through Europe in a beaten-up van, with hopes of reaching Sumela, an ancient monastery in Turkey.
- WoolfWomen Now or Never is a Film Documentary about a group of five female thrill seekers who embark on an adrenaline driven skateboard adventure to Sumela - an ancient monastery perched high in the Pontic Mountains.
The fearless five call themselves the WoolfWomen and in their shared vision and passion for the sport, they epitomize the essence of an all-female skating community, as they skate open roads along the way to a destination no skateboarder has ventured before.
Led by Mama Woolf aka Jenny Jungle, a daredevil downhill skater with a world ranking of number two, she is joined by fellow professionals Anna Pixner from Austria; Lisa Peters from the Netherlands; Jasmijn Hanegraef from Belgium; Alejandra Salamandra from Colombia.
The spotlight is on Jenny who is struggling with her mental health after the unexpected loss of her father, job and home. To keep it together, she dreams of a skateboard adventure with her friends at a timely moment when her path collides with Marchella, an old friend from the past. Fascinated by their authenticity and dare-devil sport and wholly convinced that their Gen Z spirit and guileless chutzpah was relatable enough to be made into a film documentary, Marchella galvanizes the fab five into filming their next feat.
With a plan in place, the film captures the girls as they navigate their way into uncharted waters, skateboarding across Europe, foraging food, overcoming setbacks and sharing interesting conversations and debates along the way. Once they reach the monastery, Jenny's mission is to light a candle for her father. However just before they set off, Jenny is dealt another unexpected blow.
With limited funds, no content or sponsorship deals, this is a Gen Z story of wheels on fire, rolling down roads and why freedom is everything.
