Rock and Roll and Softcore

The film gives what is expected of it, a rather weak script, but with three beauties who give the best of themselves, such as: Kaylani Lei who plays rocker Cherry Pop in search of inspiration, love and sex, lots of sex.

Leigh Livingston who plays the reporter Rachel who records the process and sometimes catches poor Cherry Pop in the middle of sex (although she makes up for it with a lesbian scene in the shower with Kaylani herself that is the best of the film).

And finally the blonde bombshell-bimbo Brynn Tyler playing Kitty Kat, the rival who wants to take Cherry's place, although she doesn't even know it.

Along with them four hunks that will delight muscle lovers.

Good movie, deserves a better title!

I barely paid attention to this the first few times it aired on the various late night channels; with a title as generic as "Naked Lust," I expected another formulaic "thriller" where the bad implants and line readings were more frightening than anything else.

Fortunately this is a much better film than I'd expected. It's more of a comedy than a thriller, and unlike most soft porn comedies, it's not forced or over reliant on innuendo last amusing when spoken by Benny Hill.

The basic plot focuses on Cherry Pop, a pop/rock star who has a block no amount of random sexual encounters can help. Cherry is well-played by the appealing Kaylani Lei. Helping her in these efforts are her very patient manager/lover (Matt Dalpiaz) and a showbiz reporter (Leah Livingston). Most refreshing about her relationships in the film is they seem like actual relationships, with downtime, laughter, conversations, as well as sex. They aren't just actors awkwardly speaking in between rutting. Most of the sex scenes are hot, but you don't have to wait for them to enjoy the movie.

The subplot focuses on a sleazy producer (Mike Nike) who hooks up, in every sense of the word, with a lousy singer who likes to talk about her Kitty Kat. This is filler, but watchable.

To the film's credit there actually is a plot, or an attempt at a plot, including a very funny punch line.

The chemistry between Dalpiaz and Lei is what adds the most sense of fun and charm to the film, and makes it a very pleasant surprise.
