- Bobby struggles with the reality of Jules being in a relationship with Grayson. Jules has issues with her new psychiatrist when she discovers the truth behind her methods.
- Grayson takes a day 'off relationship', which Jules refuses to understand. In fact the boys only spend the day lazily bonding, Bobby and Andy satisfy their macho side with a hugging dare. Travis seems an easy prey in a dare with Laurie who can stay awake longest, but is he? Jules puts her faith in unorthodox therapist Glenn, but jealous Ellie's prejudice is surpassed by reality too blatantly even for Jules to deny.—KGF Vissers
- The gang has invented a new drinking game, much to Travis' (Dan Byrd) surprise/chagrin. They take two movies that share a word and try to describe the movie, such as a fat cartoon cat plays baseball with his dead father. (Garfield of Dreams) How is this a drinking game?
JULES: We drink while we play it. (she has to: she sucks at it)
TRAVIS: OK. See you, Alkies!
Jules (Courteney Cox) is stressed Travis is leaving for college soon, but she has a new shrink she talks to about these issues. Bobby (Brian Van Holt) looks for other advice, and he likes Andy's (Ian Gomez) suggestion of siestas at 2 PM every day. (Sounds good, actually.) Travis teases Laurie (Busy Philipps) that she'll miss him because it'll just be her and the "old people" now. Laurie teased him back about going to sleep early every night, other than his Emilio Estevez film festival he did the prior week. They make a bet on who can stay up the longest.
Jules goes to see her therapist, Glenn (Jennifer Aniston) And the way they interacted with each other? It's almost as if those two shared an apartment for ten years. (Yeah, I know, Chandler moved in during the sixth season. Leave me alone!) And Glenn is an expert on both relationships and medicine, as her "son" Gabriel went through the exact same things Travis did, literally. She feels therapy chose her because she's an empath. (Uh, like Counselor Troi on Star Trek???)
Since Jules doesn't rely on the robot named Grayson (Josh Hopkins) for comfort and vice versa, Grayson decides to hang out with the guys at the bar (his bar) and get some quality time with them. The trouble is, Bobby is still a bit uncomfortable hearing about Grayson being in a relationship with his ex, even though he denies it. Grayson, however, does feel a bit crowded and wants to spend a night away from Jules. She goes ballistic and things he hates her. However, referee Glenn rules in his favor.
Jules won't take Grayson leaving lying down, so she decides to ambush Glenn at her yoga class. After getting the weekly inappropriate comment from Barb, ("I honestly never see it coming!") Glenn tries to sneak past Jules, only to have an auto accident. Glenn does successfully get out of the awkward situation by telling another Gabriel story, which Ellie (Christa Miller) can't believe Jules is falling for. Not to mention, Ellie doesn't think Glenn was planning to leave a note on the parked car she hit.
Andy is shocked that someone drew a beard and mustache on Jules' face. Well, on her park bench where he eats lunch every day. Bobby takes Grayson out to do a stakeout. They decide who stakes out what spot via a shirtless hug battle (I can't describe it, and I really don't want to try.) They do a good job until it's siesta time, and everybody takes a nap. Except Travis, who discovers everybody else taking a nap while he hasn't slept for days. But Laurie has to give Travis $20, the bench gets marked, and Ellie drags Jules back to Glenn about leaving a note about the auto accident. Gabriel is actually Glenn's dog. And Bobby was the one writing on Jules' bench to mess with Andy and work out some issues with Jules in a relationship.
Jules confronts Glenn, who made no apologies about what she did, especially since it was Gabriel's idea to have First Communion and she was against it. Jules wants to be more upset and is ready to drag Grayson back to her place, but Ellie confesses she never liked Glenn because Jules always brought her problems to Ellie...and she missed that. Laurie tucked in the sleeping Travis and admitted she would miss him...and he wanted his $20 for her cheating. Grayson went over to Bobby's boat to talk to him about his relationship with Jules.
BOBBY: Just do me one favor. Never complain about having to spend time with Jules. Not to me.
Grayson agrees and immediately returns to be with Jules. And Bobby and Andy have a hug battle for the last french fry at Grayson's bar.
GRAYSON: Put your shirts back on!
