Goofs

In the opening credits scene, Castle and Alexis are talking, and Alexis's necklace keeps switching back and forth between on top of her shirt and under her shirt.

The car is stopped by a powerful EMP pulse which would burn out all electronics including the listening devices attached to the car so they would not have been working when Becket opened the plastic container and said, "We have what you want."

The location of the unknown object is shown as AZ: 24° W; EL: 4.9"; ZM: 96. There are several errors here. This is obviously an altazimuthal measurement.

1) Altazimuth does not uses E and W, it uses compass readings starting with 0° for north then going around the full 360° circle. 2) Altitude not elevation is used and an altitude of 4.9" (minutes) at New Jersey would put the satellite right on the horizon barely visible and its actual position would be somewhere in the southern hemisphere. 3) The ZM would be the height or altitude which much to low to be a satellite, even if the M stands for miles.

It is proposed that a metal fragment from an altitude chamber got lodged up Marie's nose. There is no possible way a piece of metal would fly off a million dollar piece of scientific equipment.

There is no Plainsboro Observatory, and never has been.

Ted Carter comes under suspicion because his key card was used to enter the research facility where the victim worked. When he quit he would have had to return his key card or his access would be revoked in the system rendering the card useless so it would be impossible for him to enter the facility with his card.

If Dr. Vaughn murdered Marie Subaral then there should not have been a Chinese cigarette butt at the site where her body was found. Ung Kyu smoked Chinese cigarettes, not Dr. Vaughn.
