Finding Where the Witch Lives (also reviewed) to be a spellbinding viewing, I decided to continue watching the bundle of shorts at the online part of the Soho Horror Film Festival, by examining a mark.

Stone-walled by the doctor from receiving any help, Lauren Summers gives a very good performance as Andrea, thanks to Summers expressing in her torn voice Andrea being at her wits end, and no one being interested in helping her.
Eyeing up quick-fix posters, writer/ director (visual effects production coordinator: Method Studios on Elvis (2022)) Catherine Bonny & cinematographer Mark Kenfield spread the cold world closing off any help to the woman across the screen, via washed out, dour mid-shots in the doctors office, being sharply contrasted with blood red jump-cuts, as all hope Andrea has drains away.
Given a contraceptive by the doctor that he promises will work for years, the screenplay by Bonny explores the horrors of a woman's right to choose, via Andrea's request for help over what is happening to her body, being brushed aside by all men, who leave Andrea marked.
