A number of times in this series the FBI headquarters in L.A. is referred to by agents as "the FBI". Janis says it. Stanford says it. A report from the agent over the phone says "a couple of bombs with times have been found at the FBI." The FBI is not a place, it is an agency. The offices of the FBI are located at the Federal Building, not "at the FBI"..
After Janis drives up to the gate of the lab a security guard opens the gate, points his stun gun at the car and challenges her. If there were huge security concerns about the upcoming event, he would not have opened a gate. Plus, shooting a car with a stun gun is pretty much a non-starter.
