A sweet short story about love and rejection

Warning: Spoilers
This episode focuses on Cayetana, Phillipe and the unknown Felipe set against the backdrop of a clothing donation warehouse at Christmas time.

Unlike other short stories this entry introduces a brand new character (Felipe) who's presence in the main show is left unclear (at least if you haven't seen Season 5). In terms of this story he is a cheeky reference to Cayetana's feelings for Phillipe, but also an opportunity for her to maybe move on...

The two meet while Cayetana and Rebeka are donating clothes, and Felipe who is first shown to be rather brash about the quality of donations asks Cayetana to volunteer after learning she can sew. The two spend time repairing garments until the unexpected arrival of Phillipe who spends part 1 helping a stranger find her lost deaf-blind dog, Republic. After learning of Cayetana's volunteer work, Phillipe donates many expensive designer outfits that are denied by Cayetana citing a non-existent policy against accepting expensive clothing. When that gesture was rejected, Phillipe joins both of them (also with the stranger from Part 1) in working the receiving desk at the donation warehouse. This builds up to a Cayetana's breaking point where she publicly rejects Phillipe who has confessed his feelings, even though she admits she feels the same way about him. In the end, Filipe tells Cayetana he isn't ready to date someone who has feelings for someone else, even if she is trying to move passed them.

This was a very sweet story. Even a little sad although there aren't any truly emotional scenes that made me tear up. All three of the characters want to find that person who makes them happy, and even when they thought they have they do not end up together. I would put this short story second only to Ander Omar Alexis.
