In 1955, cars did have strong and unexpected blowings of wheels. But in 1955, cars were not even capable of having good control of going forward, stopping or even slowing down. As the people who created these cars back then, did not have good and functioning smooth material for the cars, so multiple incidents would happen. Especially when the first fastest car named Carro di Cugnot was released, going at a speed of 10km/h which would not even let you have time to stop and immediately kill you or in extremely rare cases, injure you. So, the math teachers car should not have stopped, it should have broken and killed her.
