It's not a movie, it's a lesson on relationships. Three parallel stories of three different couple. Kudos to the director, kudos to the team for choosing this script. After watching maya maya song, I ended up watching this movie. This movie reminded me of the importance of love language and the importance of holding a relation together. It's a must watch for couples. This type of movies should be cherished and celebrated. The movie revolves mainly around the female lead Shraddha. She is a marriage counselor who deals with different couples while her own life is falling apart. This movie is one of a kind and deserves a better success! Not a single frame is worth missing. And I cried buckets at the end. It's such a heart warming movie!

I felt like this movie was good for society giving some knowledge about marriage life and the common problems we facing right now. The characters special mention to Abarna who gain weight and lose weight for her character,Shardha for amazing role and Saniya acting was unbelievable. The heroes in this movie was good Vikram Prabhu didnt have much scope but one thing i like about him giving other co actors space to shine. Other 2 heroes was good portraying their characters well. This is a family movie and i think even children can watch this movie too fo future. I felt the bgm and songs were not good..

It is like documentry movie about couple issues.. Second half travel like different..Good movie must watch. First half makes to cry and second half teach the solution how tonhandle the family issues in smooth manner.
Great acting by Shraddha who is holding the weight of the core content... Her expressions as wife and Psychologist is tremendous and she perfectly played a balanced role. Vikram prabhu superbly played his husband role and he brings un expected twist in second half. ..... By asking different questions to Shraddha..Pavithra shown remarkable change in body during short couse... Sri also played typical husband role of many.

The movie was fantastically written, acted, emoted...what not! Had tears for almost many scenes and ended up with swollen eyes the next morning. It was not just a movie but more of a therapy. Healed almost everyone i saw in the theatre - inside out and am sure this has made my marriage even stronger.
Doesn't matter if you about to get married or just married or marries 50years. This movie is for all the couples - A MUST WATCH!!!

It was a really good movie and a must-watch for couples, it felt like it is better to go & watch this movie rather than go for couples therapy.
A feel-good emotional drama that's sure to erupt some changes in your life if you're keen about it but surely it would pinpoint some of the good/bad things that have happened in all of our love lives.
These kinda should thrive at the box office so that other crappy, violence-based films would stop coming more, we need more such life-based movies to thrive ATPIT.
If you're an emotional person, this film would most probably make you cry in many parts and for sure make you laugh on several occasions even if you're not emotional.
Overall, it was an emotional roller-coaster ride watching this epic, and a must-watch for all film lovers.

I didn't expect this much before watching. It is a much watch for couples. Coming to the writer and director hatsoff man! You just pinched so many couples with your characters.
And the actors done a great job, cinematography is decent, editing is perfect and the music I got disconnected for some reason may be if I watched original version I would have feel different but it's really refreshing.
And the writing is very organic we can see these characters in our real life or may be in ourselves one way or another.
Mainly the theme of the film is brilliant that's what taken my attention. Watch it.

The movie is excellent, and this is definitely a must watch movie for everyone.
In any relationship, there tend to be some misunderstanding resulting from our partners actions which do not meet our expectations.
We tend to pick on our partners mistakes, and when similar mistakes is repeated, it turns irritation to anger then becomes hatred. That is the turning point for serious relationship complications. What the movie try to explore is the reason why an unmet expectation turns towards irritation or anger. Is the fault really on our partner or is it because our own weakness. Most of the time we don't realise our weakness within.

Irugapatru narrates the tale of 3 couples going through a trouble phase in their respective marriage. 2 of them with the relatable problem and the other is the counsellor trying to help them while failing to figure out the problems in her own marriage. How these people learn to value their relationship, value their respective partner and find love back again to save their relationship forms rest of the story.
What I instantly liked about this film was how well etched out these characters were. The first couple suffer from the toxic trait of the husband who tries to find fault in his wife to show her to be inferior to him and though I would rank it low among the 3 stories, the performances elevated this story. The second couple's story involving the husband demanding divorce from his clueless wife and I would rank this as the best story among the 3 just for the way the husband's character finally opens up about the real issue. This was handled in a mature way and it left a stronger impact.
The third couple, the psychologist counselling these two couples and this story served up as a terrific interval bang. Infact the therapy sessions are indeed the highlight of this film, serving multiple memorable dialogues. I did expect a grand confrontation scene between her and the husband, which happened late with the songs acting as a filler. I had a lot of expectations over this particular scene after the strong interval block, later it got less organic as the couple deal with their issue. It all got made up with a terrific climax.
Overall, I truly enjoyed watching this movie which handled the content very sensibly. Definitely recommended.

This movie follows a struggle of 3 couples with their marriage life. Initially we are shown what is good and bad and how to overcome the typical issues. Later, Portraying the struggles of a therapist adds weight to the story, challenges the conventional book wisdom and suggests you to show your true emotions and love with proper communication.
It's one of those films that would change your life and attitude for good. Movie is so natural that I could connect with many instances. This movie reminds me of the instances where i could've acted better, instances where I'm not understanding cause of stress and showing it on others.
Movie would genuinely touch the emotions of millennial couples.

The movie is all about couples struggling in their marriages and how they learn to overcome the struggles and be successful in their relationships. Its a noble premise, but the movie devolves into female characters just seeing an iota of good in their male partners and running back to their married lives. One of the characters is a marriage counselor who at the climax would agree to fight with her husband, check his phone and force him to come home early though she herself doesn't want to (cringgggge). The other 2 male characters (first wanted his wife to lose weight and thoroughly body shamed her, and the second went above and beyond to prove his wife was an imbecile so that he could be the alpha) also had their wives running back to them at the end. The movie fails to recognize that a person's individuality and self esteem is not to be sacrificed for something conceptual as a happy married life. This is why in India we have so many unhappy couples. I wish our film makers would stop this nonsense at some point and actors would deny these roles. Until then, we will watch such movies and cringe.

Man oh man, amazing writing and direction. Such a true story on Tamil middle class. Could have been three separate movies, each had so much content and depth. Haven't see such grounded and compelling films in Tamil recently(except for Good Night). We need such down to earth real Tamil stories and struggles of this generation. Would add it to much watch movies for my grand kids. As movie and food loving family, these are just desserts after biriyani.
Acting, dialogs and dialog delivery was amazing too. Good amount of humour and manobala scene was such a real scenario where better half just feel you are drunk if you speak some sensible stuff. So rare common sense is these days in relationships, very well educating the behavioural and reasoning of humans.

We almost avoided watching Irugapatru until we decided to give it a try. We are literally in awe of this screenplay😍😍
The introduction was so inviting and serene with Shraddha Srinath talking bout the realities of relationships. We were already hooked as this was a genuine and relatable talk
Sooo many important elements to highlight but what we valued the most was that Irugapatru addressed real stories about real couples going through real issues and having real solutions.
There was no lovey-dovey or silly romance; the dialogues were authentic, we felt the pain and love. The movie touched on a wide variety of couple issues that every scene was educational
The score and cinematography helped influence our emotions in the way that the director intended to convey his messages.
Kudos to all the actors/actresses who captured the soul of their characters. Vikram Prabu and Vidarth were the biggest surprises as they went outside of their comfort zones.
This was not a film that you could map out from the beginning, there were many twists, then the momentum increased!

Ossam film, hats off to the director... All the lovers and family people really wants to see this movie. First of all we need to realise our mistakes then only you need to expect from others. This is the only thing we are not accepting in our day to day life. Really i understand my mistakes when i saw this movie... Story screenplay dialogue every thing we feel it in our real life story. Final claimax really really superb with the touching message to everyone. Please my suggestion if you are feel always fighting in your family kindly please watch this movie minimum twise really you will change in your attitude. This is the damn sure i am telling...

First of all hatsoff to the director for the research done on modern day couple problems and the way it was brought to the screen(compared to his previous movies). This movie can be shown to couples who all applying for divorce or who are living separately which might change their mind.
Next plus point is casting of each characters. Every one did their role really well understanding the characters (especially vidharth and his wife nailed their life characters). And equal screen presence for all three couples. We cannot blame anyone's acting.
Music was pleasant to hear(after so many headache noise as music in recent movies) and technically movie was really good.
Next plus point is this movie can be watched with family.
Editing could have been better since felt little long but never a big lag moment.
Only few good movies coming in Tamil industry and this is one among them. Do enjoy in theatres with family.

In this movie, the protogonist is a marriage counsellor. Not a popular role for a protogonist. Shraddha has soulfully delivered it.
Everyone, except those who will never marry, should watch this movie. Guide for romantic relationship in the most entertaining forrm. The issues that have been addressed between couples in this movie is very understandable. People could relate and understand their own relationship problems.
Kudos to the director who thought of making this film and executed it very well. Very important, especially for this generaration. Justin prabakaran did justice with his music as always.

This family love drama is truly one of the best I've seen in recent times. The three different couples each have their own unique issues, but what ties them together is the emotional turmoil they face. One couple struggles with expressing their love for each other, another with conflicting dreams, and the third with hiding their true feelings to maintain a facade of a perfect marriage. The plot is intriguing, the screenplay is well-executed, and the story is beautifully written with some of the best dialogues I've heard. Some scenes made me to rewind first time in my life for its dialogues and emotions. The emotions portrayed in the movie are so real and relatable that I found myself deeply connected with the characters. I believe everyone will find a piece of themselves in at least one of the characters. This is a feel-good movie that will make you laugh, cry, fight, hug, and love again. Don't miss out on this beautiful movie on Netflix.

This is a very good family movie. Excellent story... awesome acting... super direction. The storyline is really good and its a very good movie to watch as a family. The psychologist acted really well and the way she has expressed and carried herself throughout the movie is really good. Vikram Prabhu has done justification to his stardom. The screenplay surrounding the 3 couples and the way each one has acted makes us go right inside the movie and see ourselves as one of them and able to completely relate to the movie. Not a single fight or love scene is there...More such family movies are needed for audiences like me...

This movie truly stands out with its trio of captivating stories, woven together by an exceptional screenplay. It is a valiant effort and different jornal for Tamil cinema, showcasing masterful direction. Every actor and actress delivered outstanding performances, bringing depth and authenticity to their roles. The background score deserves a special mention for its excellence, adding an extra layer of emotion to the film. Every one on screen and behind the screen has done an exceptional job. It's a cinematic experience that will resonate with viewers in many ways, it is a must watch for couples. I don't want to spoil, I would recommend it, it will be slow doesn't have regular masala items like fight or song.. the entire crew have silently rocked it.

A feel good movie and worth watching it. Amazing story line! Characters have done their part in their best way which includes even lip sink. Its literally a therapy for couples with different problems. Certain places they have dragged a little but totally Worth watching!! 3 different stories and how they have interlinked with eachother was good. Each story has some take a way points for every couple!! Ending and dialogues are hard hitting in certain places!! Enjoy the breezy romance drama with your partner and i have missed this gem in theatres unfortunately!! Watch it on Netflix with your partner!
