Wonderful new perspectives for health
inspiralgrowth2 December 2023
The percentage of people close to a burnout in countries in europe is reaching up to 10% and in some areas of the world is passing already 20%, so many people are battling with stress which eventually is turned into many other illnesses in the mind and the body.

The shows addresses topics that may have been around for decades now yet it is great to see these kind of shows to expand the message to the masses, in the search for a healthier elders. I lost my father early in life due to a sickness that could have been avoided with a healthy lifestyle, and this kind of perspectives can inspire others to make better decisions with the food they consume, the way they train their body, and other type of methods out there that could help you bring peace of mind.

For me is an introduction show to a new world to many out there, and now after the show i was very inspired to keep going deeper and deeper into each of the subjects, and build a community about it in Amsterdam.

Great Show Everyone!

Great promotion for cold exposure but flawed
hansefde18 February 2024
I have been doing cold exposure for more than 5 years now and have learned so much. It also transformed everything in my body and mind. I am so enthusiastic about it that I kept on dragging people to open water in the winter and I now have an app group of about 40 people. We all have cold water baths at home and sundays we meetin water to take a cold plunge together. Everything in this episode is true, the benefits and feeling are huge. But this episode touches just the surface and makes mistakes. First they immediately put him in blankets when he comes out of the water. This is nonsense, when you come out you can just walk around in cold weather and don't feel a thing. Nor will you get hypothermia. Second the warming up is all wrong. By doing a deep squat you use your leg muscles to warm up the blood. By doing "Viking breathing" you also use your lungs to warm yourself. The effect is astounding. Yes you can use your lungs as a heat source, there is some Russian study about it. Third and not not mentioned is the dopamine effect after a cold plunge. You will feel so happy and relaxed as an after effect, it's totally addictive. The dopamine rush is 250% over normal! Fourth is an annoying and dangerous mistake to let him swim without handshoes and a neoprene headcap. Yes that will not look good on film, but it is eesential when you go wild swimming in cold water with your head in the water. It is quite dangerous and that's why he didn't feel good afterwards. You can do this but keep your head out of the water or wear a neoprene head cap.

More of the same, really
TuCambioEsAhora5 March 2023
The series continue to be average. In fact, it would be below average if there wasn't such a charismatic and interesting movie star behind it! It seems like all you need to do to create a documentary nowadays is a lot of money, be a famous person and have cutting-edge tech equipment.

Make no mistake: There's no science in this documentary. This is just another form of entertainment masked with "science", "experts", "research" and the like. There aren't more than 2 experts consulted on any topic and there isn't a single serious research cited. They don't even explain how cold works in the basic level so the body reaps the benefits. The documentary is not really informative but its visuals keep you connected to the episode.

In one part of the documentary, they talk about a Shugendo ritual. It was really interesting, but they said very little about it. They showed a man doing one of the rituals but they didn't mention how long was the ritual for him, what were the health risks, how many times does he have to do that, what's the temperature of the water, etc. Even TikTok can be more informative that this!

Cool cinematography and music, though.
