When Julie visits the Griffin's home Katrina (Stewie) mentions a family trip to Edaville Railroad. Edaville is a real family amusement park located in Carver, MA. The park is centered on railroads and features several trains which weave through nearby cranberry bogs.
Every episode featuring Mother Maggie is voiced by a high profiled actress:
- In Road to Europe (2002) she is played by Lauren Graham
- In Go, Stewie, Go! (2010) she is played by Anne Hathaway
- In You Can't Do That on Television, Peter (2012) she is played by Katharine McPhee
When the fan mail for Karina starts to come in, one of the letters has a return address attributed to Kara Vallow - one of the producers of the show.
This is the first of a running gag of Stewie using Dancing with the Stars (2005) professional dancer names as aliases. In this episode he uses Karina Smirnoff when passing a girl to get on Jolly Farm TV show. He uses Driton 'Tony' Dovolani in Brian's Play (2013) as his pen name for his first Broadway play.
