Goofs

Hawaii Five-0

Edit

Continuity

The silver Camaro that is driven in the series is an RS model as is seen in the RS emblem in the front grill; however, in some scenes filmed inside the car, the headrests have the SS logo stitched into them. In other scenes, the headrests do not have the SS logo.
In Hoa Pili (Close Friend) (2013), when Kamekona gets his helicopter pilot's license and takes the Five-0 team for a flight, they make references to Magnum, P.I. (1980), including singing the show's theme song and calling Kamekona "T.C.", therefore establishing that "Magnum P.I." is fictional in the "Hawaii Five-0" universe. However, after Magnum P.I. (2018) launches as a reboot in 2018, several characters from that series, to include Thomas Magnum himself, make crossover appearances into "Hawaii Five-0" and vice-versa."Hawaii Five-0"

Factual errors

The dancers in the opening credits are actually performing native French Tahitian "'O 'tea tamuré" dance (female in traditional Tahitian grass skirt with hips rapidly moving to fast drumming in a figure 8) and the male performing the traditional "danse du feu", or fire dance, and have no relation whatsoever to traditional native Hawaii dances. The hula dance, the traditional native Hawaiian dance, does not feature drums, nor grass skirts, nor rapid hip movements; its costume is made of medium length, green "ti" leaves and its main focus is on the dancers' hands, by which they tell a story. No percussion for Hawaiian hula, but their music is the unmistakable ukulele sound.
The HPD police cruisers used throughout the series are the civilian-spec Chevrolet Impala sedans (2006 - 2013 including the 2014-16 Impala Limited) seen with the HPD livery. The Impala squads seen throughout the series have the 5-spoke alloy wheels - which is not available with the 9C1 police package option (2006 - present Impalas come with 16 inch steel wheels with bolt-on center caps or the full-wheel hubcaps seen on the civilian 2000-05 base Impala - 2012-16 models came with 17 inch steel wheels). Commencing in Season 7 this also applies to the civilian-spec 2007-14 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2011-17 Caprice PPV (while the newer models are not sold to the general public the 2011 model or those with over 100,000 miles are being are being seen during Season 7).
