Cheri cuts the top of a tomato twice after getting back home from the hospital.

When Bethany Hamilton is on the surf board in Thailand and Sarah Hill is watching, a slightly bald man is over her shoulder. The group of people (including the same man) walks over but in the next shot he is over her same shoulder again.

During the finals of the nationals, the competitor's shirt colors that are listed on the board differ from the announcements.

After Night Surfing, Cheri Hamilton makes Bethany, Alana and Timmy a drink. She puts Timmy's green cup on the counter in one shot. Then she does it again in the next. In the next frame Timmy grabbed it and was drinking. The next shot shows the cup on the counter again. This continues for several shots.

When Bethany's father shows her all the board sizes she has to try and begins with the larger one, when she is on the beach she is wearing a small bikini bottom. When she goes in the water she is wearing shorts. When she comes out of the water, she is wearing bikini bottoms again.

When Bethany first arrives home after the attack, she has a sheet covering her stump from the reporters. When she exits the car, you can see where the actress's actual arm is under the sheet.

When she arrives to help with World Vision her missing arm appears back but in a black sleeve a few times as she moves through the crowds.

In Thailand just after Rosemary appears, you see Bethany walking right to left with Sarah. In part of the scene a black sleeve is seen covering the Bethany's left arm for about two seconds and then vanishes. Happens at about 1:12:10.

After Bethany gets home from the accident, and after Tom drives the minivan to the back door. He stops, and Bethany has a a cover draped over her shoulder, you can see AnnaSophia Robb removing her actual arm from or behind Helen Hunt's shoulder, from when she was bracing herself during Dennis Quaid's driving.

The iMac Computer used by the Hamiltons and the event judges was not manufactured before 2007.

When Bethany and her Church Youth Group visited Thailand to help the tsunami victims, the victim who talk to Bethany, is speaking in Indonesian language, not Thai language, which is totally different.

When reading the fan mail Bethany says the boy in North Carolina is named "Logan", when Cheri explains why everyone is rooting for her in her next competition she says the name "Dylan".
