Tiny Cinema
BandSAboutMovies29 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
"This is the kind of place that will make you feel uncomfortable, I can promise you that."

Tiny Cinema is an anthology film that presents quick blasts of story and obscene humor. It starts with "Game Night," in which one partygoer becomes obsessed with who she is after being told "That's what she said." Then, in "Edna," a woman finds her perfect partner in a corpse. That is, until he comes back to life. "Daddy's Home" is about a great date, some cocaine and the body horror of becoming your parents. There's also a throwaway story about some gangsters who want someone to sleep with their mother and "Deep Impact," a tale of a man's future sex wanting to make love to his past younger body to save the world. Oh yeah - there's also a gang of friends who want to give their friend his first orgasm which can only be achieved by escalating levels of crime and violence.

Tyler Cornack and Ryan Koch also made Butt Boy, a film in which its hero put objects and people up his, well, butt. This movie takes that level of ridiculousness and amps it up to an absurd degree. Written along with William Morean, this is a constantly changing freakshow of madness, hosted by Paul Ford, who speaks directly to the audience and comments on just how weird everything gets.

If you're not easily offended, well, you may still be offended. But if you're ready for something that will challenge your resolve, Tiny Cinema is has a seat for you.

A respectable anthology that doesn't quite work.

Here be six comedy horror/thriller stories with an 'edgy humour' flavour, full of irritating characters. It's fairly well directed and the acting is decent. The lighting and production design is mostly good and the camerawork is ok, if bland. The sound mixing is very poor, heavily compressed, cluttered and amateurish. Dialogue is often difficult to make out.

The stories themselves are framed by our narrator Paul Ford, but he's just a generic host. A wasted opportunity. Some stories try too hard to be quirky and fail, but some are silly and fun. The ideas are fine, but they are in desperate need of better screenwriting. They're all about 15min long, so none of them outstay their welcome, though none of them shine either.

Overall, it's... 'immature' is probably the best word. The filmmakers have some growing up to do and many skills to refine. It's watchable because everyone seems to be putting in a lot of effort to entertain. It's well produced and shows real promise.

It's surprisingly good. Worth a look sometime.

6 short stories, unrelated, some are excellent and keep you on the edge of your seat and some are just bad and a bit creepy.

Strangely, I never found the movie 'cheap', even though I see from imdb that it cost 100k to make.

Well worth a look.

Not even so bad it's good.

Just a horrid mess of bad stories that have ZERO tie in to anything. They're written as if by a middle schooler with a head injury. Game Night was slightly interesting, but it goes downhill faster than a roller coaster after that. This film was either financed as a huge favor owed or to launder money because there is simply no way that anyone thought this film was good. I was looking forward to this one after I first saw the trailer. It was one of the biggest let downs of the past few years along with Found that was recommended on YouTube. Avoid this film even if you have nothing to do with your time.

Definitely worth a watch!

Great work by all involved for getting so much out of such a low budget. I was truly caught off guard by how funny and gutsy this little film is. In the style of Creepshow, there are several short tales here with a narrator tying it all together. Great fun, dark as can be humor, weirdly endearing, and with the proper helping of violence and sodomy. There are some instant classic moments here and a couple of segments hold their own,. Against the top of the genre. Recommended for fans of horror comedy done right on a shoestring. Bummer about the film's title which is unfortunately vague and cannot help gather an audience.

big cinema production...

Good acts, fast plotted anthology in 6 parts, small stories of non sense at all, with a neckslithering dark humour, pretty bestiallic fetishes, where the makers brings forward hidden thoughts and secrets youll never imagine you had.

Its a film for the most gritted horror fantasy lovers, its definately not a film for everyone and especially not for minors and its kin. I do like the filmatographic moves and takes made in this sacramental horror circus, and well worth a try. At least the musical score featured is of high quality and gives flow to a grumpy old mans ability to watch movies.its not perfect, but as perfedt as it could be.

Deliciously Twisted Fun (not) for the Whole Family
Batblood1 August 2023
I get this isn't for everyone, but I loved it!! Deserves a far higher rating. Cinematography, acting, soundtrack and lighting are all superb.

Several super twisted tales in horror throwback anthology style for fans of out there of shizz like Greasy Strangler, Jesus Shows you the Way to the Highway, Hobo With a Shotgun or anthology completists etc.

Super imaginative and super funny ultra black comedy.

Kudos to the cast and crew. I was surprised how good this was. Some outrageous stories and performances. I also wish the soundtrack was on vinyl cos I'd totally buy it.

I'd recommend it to friends but they think I'm demented enough as is.

Just watch it!

OMG!!! A Guy Flick That Will Make You Laugh...
TheJonesBones31 July 2023
...so hard that you will pee your pants! My wife says this is a stupid movie and it is NOT funny. So, yeah. It's freaking HILARIOUS!

But that probably explains the wildly variant votes. Chicks be hatin'.

So, this is an anthology about a bunch of weird stuff happening to weird people. Peeing in jars. Fornicating with one's own self and various hideous mafia queens... throwing away perfectly good corpses... snorting poppa's ashes...

Let's just say this film is a well done bravura of horror, fantasy and comedy, all wrapped in a hairy scrotum! But... I know what you're thinkng... pretty weird choice for a host, huh?
