Jimmy Carr: Telling Jokes
jboothmillard11 August 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Jimmy Carr here plays his fifth live stand up tour on another DVD, every show seems to get better and better with his fast delivery, rude and offensive jokes, and still overly enjoyable watching. He plays to the audience with his usual observational and true to life subjects, including his routines about boobs, the Welsh, going through some jokes with visual photos on screen (including a photo of young Carr himself), short jokes with as few words as possible, responding to a lawyer wannabe heckler, he talks to a few audience members, his opinions and insights into religion, frequently asked questions answered and some from the audience, relationship advice, moral dilemmas and chat up lines, sex tips and myths, and seeing the audience react to the offensive jokes, growing and growing, including about the death of Princess Diana, the Twin Towers, retarded children, felching, abortion, and the Holocaust, he also describes what is the most offensive joke ever about a cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb as a hat, causing riots and deaths. The DVD special features include Carr's past twitter comments narrated by him and accompanied by his photos, an appearance on Comedy Central, and extra deleted scenes and outtakes from the show. Jimmy Carr was number 12 on 100 Greatest Stand-Ups. Very good!

Always good, a Jimmy Carr show
deloudelouvain21 October 2018
The certain thing you will get with a Jimmy Carr show is a large amount of jokes. Almost all one-liners, so they're all short and most of the time cynical. So if satire and short jokes are not your thing his shows might not be for you. But for me it works everytime. To fill ninety minutes with short jokes isn't the easiest thing to do so credits to Jimmy Carr for doing that everytime. His interactivity with the audience is also an amusing thing to see as most of the guest want to outsmart him but that will never happen as he always has an unique and funny replique.

Filthy!

A very funny comedian who made me laugh out loud several times here. He is uber-filthy, offensive and hilarious.

He is also very quick and his audience interaction is top notch.

Carr is probably the best stand up I've seen for a long while. Even so, there were still a lot of just ok material.

Boring, blatant pausing, rehashed 'jokes'
jeremyhaydon-024913 December 2021
Not overly funny anymore, when a comic constantly repetas 'i came on your mums t*ts' as a joke, you just KNOW hes finished! Stupid fake laugh, and now, very didgy looking hair implants! Dull!
