Plot

After the death of his wife, Elías, in his 80's, can't find a reason to live. A cat's visit comes just in time to shake up his routine and save him from loneliness. His companion invigorates his humdrum day to day, but with a new health diagnosis, he'll have to concoct a plan to ensure his cat's wellbeing. But his neighbors and his own son will get in the way of his plans.

Damned Old People is a biting drama with a dash of acid humor that introduces us to Elías, a newly widowed, grumpy, and ill-tempered old man who thought life couldn't possibly get any worse... until the cat showed up. Sick, exhausted, and stuck in the worst slump of his life, Elías must not only grapple with his own inevitable decline but also with a scruffy, obnoxious feline that has turned his nights -and the neighborhood's- into a hellish symphony of meowing.
