- All seems to be going well with Tara and her family. She's gone back to taking her medication and it's been three months since one of her alters emerged. Their next door neighbor's suicide however has a strange effect on her. They didn't know the man very well but the man's determination to kill himself - he tried to first slit his wrists, then hang himself before finally using a gun - seems to simultaneously repel and attract her with unfortunate results. Meanwhile, sister Charmaine's relationship with Nick seems to be going quite nicely and he has a surprise for her at dinner. Daughter Kate has graduated early and has take a summer job with a collection agency. Son Marshall has taken a bold step and decided to sit a the 'gay table' in the school cafeteria.—garykmcd
- The Gregson family donate all of Tara's alters' clothing. The whole family seems happy from the past three months: Kate has graduated early from high school after skipping a grade, and she gets a new job at a local debt collection agency; Marshall makes new friends at school, including Courtney and fellow gay student Lionel; Tara is on a new medication and is dissociation-free; Max experiences success at his job; Charmaine and Nick are in a happy relationship, and Nick proposes to Charmaine. When Tara's next-door neighbor commits suicide, the Gregson family is unexpectedly given responsibility of the house by the county, as their neighbor had no close family. The Gregsons make friends with Ted and Hany, a gay couple living in the neighborhood. After visiting the dead neighbor's house, Tara suddenly transitions into Buck. Buck visits a local bar and flirts with Pammy, a barmaid with whom Max flirted when he and Tara visited recently.
