Anamika's sudden disappearance launches an investigation. Flashes of the preceding weeks reveal her strained marriage and a troubling incident at home.

Anamika Anand (Madhuri Dixit) has the perfect life. She has a successful acting career spanning many years and has a loving family with a husband and 2 kids. She returns with her husband at 1:30 am from an award function, the next day she is missing. Anamika is the #1 actress of the country.

Nikhil More (Sanjay Kapoor) is Anamika's husband. Nikhil calls the police, who also establish that Nikhil and Anamika were not even sleeping in the same room. Amara (Muskkaan Jaferi) is Anamika's daughter and Avinash (Lakshvir Saran) is her son. Kalyani (Suhasini Mulay) is Anamika's mother who lives with them.

6 months ago, a disabled fan named Madhav (Gagan Arora) had come to meet Anamika on the steps. Anamika was meeting the fan and taking a selfie, when she got an urgent call from Amara about Avinash. Anamika leaves everything and goes home. Turns out Madhav was only pretending to be disabled, as soon as Anamika left, he stood up from his wheelchair with a look of disgust. Avinash had tried to commit suicide and Anamika cannot understand why. Kalyani is shown to be a heartless woman who only criticizes others. Billy (Kashyap Harsha Shangari) is Anamika's make-up artist. Lata (Shubhangi Latkar) is the maid of the house. Samar (Danish Sood) is Avinash's best friend. Avinash believes Anamika is self centered.

Nikhil is producing Anamika's latest picture and is not happy with the work of the director. Anamika says that her biggest hits have been with Manish Khanna (Manav Kaul). She suggests keeping the director and changing the actor. Nikhil and Anamika meet Manish who now has a daughter Tabitha (Ayesha Kaduskar). Manish is divorced from his ex-wife Sneha (Veenah Naair). It is clear that Manish and Anamika pine for each other and Manish agrees to do the movie with her.

In the present, Avinash does not believe that Nikhil is doing everything he can to find Anamika. As police inspector Shobha (Rajshri Deshpande) started investigating the case, she interviews everyone in the house. It is made evident to the viewers that nobody in the house tells the truth to Shobha. Shobha notices that the security cameras were switched off the night she disappeared. There is no ransom demand. Amara and Avinash meet later and night and discuss whether they should reveal specific instances to the police. But if they reveal some instances, they will have to reveal others as well.

Back 6 months ago. Kalyani is very critical of Amara's weight. She feels Amara is fat and needs to lose 8-10 kilos. This hurts Amara's self-confidence. Anamika counsels Amara that even she was Vijju Joshi growing up. She was an ordinary kid and an introvert. Anamika meets Avinash and tells him that he is always locked in his room, but he attempted suicide in the main bathroom when everyone was at home. He wanted someone to save him. Anamika wants to know what is wrong, but Avinash will not open up. Anamika refuses to be intimate with Nikhil and also refuses to go out on dinners with him. Nikhil knows that Anamika working with Manish has everything to do with this.

In present, Anamika is shown to be held captive in a room and is given food to eat by an unknown person.
