- Frankie summons up the courage to confront the scary mother of the neighborhood bullies after they get in a fight with Sue, while Axl agrees to teach Brick how to play kickball.
- Frankie fears that a confrontation with trashy neighbor Rita Glossner is at hand when Sue has a run-in with her sons. Meanwhile, Axl tries to bribe Brick when he's asked to teach his little brother how to kick a ball for a gym requirement, but it's Brick who turns the tables on Axl and ends up bribing him for another favor.—ABC Publicity
- Axl expects bookworm Brick to write his book report, even if he has to bribe kid brother for each page, initially with football kicking lessons, later with anything that gives the tyke a warm brotherly feeling. For years, the Hecks have been cowardly looking away, like their other neighbors, concerning the constant mischief and worse of the four Glossner brothers and their even more impertinent, separated mother Rita. Ever-naive Sue picks a 'martial arts fight' with two of them, who cheerfully confiscate her radio. Now the parents can't keep looking away anymore, although Frankie starts to imagine single mother Rita may he cranky due to all to well-known domestic frustrations.—KGF Vissers
