Richard Lewis, Kelly's good friend, whom she worked with years ago on the TV series, Beggars and Choosers became the the Executive Producer of Pave the Road after he saw the first cut. He fell in love with the film and dedicated 4 months to the project where they made 167 new edits and restructured the story. Richard also directed Kelly's narration throughout the film.
Kelly did not plan on making a documentary film, she used her camera as a tool to get in front of the government leaders to create social and environmental impact, write a bill and pave roads to protect children and citizens of Costa Rica.
Did you know that famous motivational speaker, Tony Robbins, stopped Kelly on her saddest day, as she pushed the stroller down the streets of Fort Langley and performed a spontaneous intervention on her which prompted her to take a trip to Costa Rica.
