Biased Review

I worked on this. But I've seen it and am so impressed with the special effects and the image quality and the acting. It is studio quality work and a really interesting story. I love it when someone takes real history and crafts it into a film in a manner that reminds people of where things began. We would not have the telephone if it were not for the events of the past, and it began with a little device known as the telegraph.

I would also watch all of those involved with this in the future. The work done on this is so impressive I expect their next projects will not disappoint anyone. There is a reason this little gem won n award.

(PS You don't really see me though i am there. I found out that you can't even be featured unless a dramatic series for SAG without getting paid or being UNION. Kind of sucks.)

Well-acted, great directing

Chris won an Excellence in Directing Award for Signal, and no wonder. This short is cast so perfectly and is so well-acted. Beautifully filmed, gorgeous camera choreography along with a fascinating story. What more can I say? I am now a big fan! We will definitely see more good things from Chris in the future - keep him on your "to watch" list. The original script won a Sloane Award. The story is about the invention of the telegraph and how the people of that time period used to think that through the telegraph, you could somehow communicate with the ghosts or spirits who were not quite ready to move on. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat and is a very tender look at people who want nothing more than to communicate with their lost loved ones. The artistic direction and production design will knock your socks off.
