When the shot changes to an exit from T.K.'s dream and he's in the hospital, the nurse states he is "severely bradycardic" and "if he goes into asystole, be ready to cardiovert". Asystole is considered a non-shockable rhythm. Therefore cardioversion is not used. The correct course (without holding a class on it) is CPR, Airway management and vasosuppressors like epinephrine.
