- At the last weigh-in, Migdalia was voted off campus. The campus is not only down one contestant but two as one is sent to hospital temporarily on a medical issue. But two others ultimately return to campus as the at home challenge given to Victoria and Cherita and Sunshine and O'Neal, which the on-campus contestants did not know about, comes to an end and the four return to campus to weigh-in. Before doing so, they go through what Bob calls the Biggest Loser rite of passage: a last chance workout. The returning team is told that they will receive immunity for the week, but that they are also given ultimate power: the only vote at the week's all contestant weigh-in. During the week, Bob and Jillian each focus in on a few contestants to get to the bottom of their weight issues. The reward challenge is a Super Bowl week football related challenge, with the winning team receiving immunity at the week's weigh-in, the losing team getting a two-pound penalty.—Huggo
- This week, contestants are surprised by the return of the blue and yellow teams, who were sent home after the first challenge of the season. Now they're back, 30 days later, to weigh in and try to earn a spot back on the ranch. Then a vigorous football challenge tests everyone's stamina, except for one player sidelined with medical issues, and provides immunity for the winner - but a big disadvantage for the losing team. Later, after another elimination round sends a player home, host Alison Sweeney surprises the contestants with exciting news.—NBC Publicity
- We open with the NBC production crew getting a call at 3am that 911 had been called for one of the contestant who had stomach pains. It turns out to have been Miggy. Alison tells the rest of the guys that she's at the hospital undergoing some tests.
A limo pulls up and the Yellow and Blue teams return to the ranch. After some flashbacks remind us as to their story they are sent to the gym. Bob and Jillian meet the two teams and put them through their first-ever Last Chance workout.
Prior to the teams weighing-in, Alison tells us that the team with the highest percentage of weight loss will have immunity this week. That team will also have the only vote at this week's elimination. Blue team is first and they put up a good number. Victoria is down 39 pounds (to 319) while Cherita has lost 24 (to 277). The 63 pounds lost is a percentage of 9.92. This means Yellow must have lost more than 65 pounds to win the weigh-in. They pull it off, with O'Neal down 51 pounds (to 338) and Sunshine down 25 (to 250). This means Blue is eliminated. Again.
We see the first workout of the week. For some reason Melissa cries throughout the workout, which results in Bob telling her she re-gained his respect last week and the two of them embracing. Jillian breaks Daris down emotionally. He tearfully admits to having self-esteem and confidence issues.
Time for a football-related challenge. Each team will pick one representative to push each side of a blocking bad back and forth. The first player to 1,000 hits wins immunity and the team which finishes in last place will get a two-pounds disadvantage. The Gray team's Sam leads for most of the challenge, will Lance and Michael trailing him closely. Michael passes Lance and at about the 900 mark catches Sam. Sam gives it a valiant effort but Michael wins the challenge. The Pink team brings up the rear to earn the penalty.
Miggy returns and we learn that she had surgery to remove her appendix, a cyst and a mass. Though sore, Miggy says she feels better than before the surgery. All she can really do is walk, and Dr. Huizenga reminds her that eight or nine pounds of saltwater was injected into her body during the surgery. It doesn't look good.
Last Chance workout involves Jillian playing amateur psychiatrist with Ashley, who has regrets over the death of her father. We go back to everyone being sore. Blah, blah.
Time to weigh-in. Up first is the immune Yellow team. They have lost a total of ten pounds, five pounds each. We then move to Michael, who because of the winning the challenge is also immune. He has lost 13 pounds (456 to 443), meaning he is 17 pounds away from losing 100 in six weeks.
Pink are their two-pound disadvantage are first among teams able to be eliminated. They lose 15 pounds, with Ashley down nine (to 317) and Sherri down six (to 180). That number becomes 13, which is a percentage loss of 2.54.
Next is Red Team, needing to have lost more than 13 pounds to move ahead of Pink. They miss it by wide margin, with Lance dropping four (to 314) and Melissa five (to 198). The percentage (1.73) means Pink is safe this week. Orange goes next, needing to have lost more than eight pounds to be safe. They do it easily, with Daris down 12 (to 283) and Cheryl thee (to 194). The 15 pound loss (3.05 percent) moves them into first. Stephanie, the remaining Purple teamer, needs to have lost more than three pounds. She gets it by two, dropping from 230 to 225 for a percentage loss of 2.17. This means Red is still at the bottom.
Gray team is next, and the guys need to have lost more than 11 pounds. It's not even close. Sam is down ten by himself (to 310) while Koli has lost six pounds (to 335). The 16 pounds, a percentage of 2.42, moves them into third and keeps Red on the chopping block with three teams left to weigh-in. Black team needs to have lost more than ten pounds to stay ahead of Red. They do it by three, with Andrea dropping five (to 262) and Darrell losing eight (to 343). The 13 pounds is a percentage of 2.1, which is just above Red. Fresh from the operating room, the Green team's Miggy takes the scale. She needs to have lost more than three pounds. She gets it by two, falling from 211 to 206. The percentage (2.37) moves her into fourth. Finally we come to the Brown team's John, who needs to have lost more than seven pounds to stay on campus. He misses it by a pound, dropping from 427 to 421 and causing just about every other contestant to start crying. Without a teammate, John is automatically eliminated.
Our vignette for John shows that he is has lost another 41 pounds since leaving the show. He weighs 380 pounds, which is 104 less than when he began Biggest Loser. Johns credits martial arts training with his ability to lose so quickly.
