The pilot was video taped at the Sunset Boulevard KTLA TV stage facility, in front of a live studio audience, utilizing the KTLA construction shop (Stage Hands IATSE #33 & Scenic Artist IATSE #816) and KTLA studio video and stage lighting engineers and department. After CBS TV picked up the pilot, the production was moved, set up on a stage at the Radford Street CBS Studio Center, utilizing the Studio Center construction and paint shop facility (film union jurisdiction). Video remote facilities were set up outside the Studio Center stage in order to tape each show. The series always was performed in front of a live audience with four video cameras and two sound boom operators. Chuck Fries offices were based at this studio. Production offices were also located in the Studio Center Producer's Building.
