A Heartwarming Sequel Delving into Modern Parenting
yashhraaj27 October 2023
"Haami 2" graced the screen in 2022 as an Indian Bengali-language comedy film, skillfully directed by the talented duo of Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee. As someone residing outside West Bengal, I eagerly awaited its OTT release for nearly 10 months, and the wait was undoubtedly worth it. Produced by Windows and distributed regionally, this film proudly stands as a standalone sequel to its predecessor, "Haami," once again delving into the complexities of modern parenting.

The heart of the film lies in its child actors, who steal the spotlight with their funny, smart, and flawless performances. They effortlessly give the adults a run for their money in many scenes, showcasing a heartwarming camaraderie that adds to the film's charm.

While "Haami 2" excels in depicting the nuances of relationships with honesty, it does have moments in the second half where it meanders a bit, resulting in an extended runtime. However, the director duo's ability to capture the essence of human connections remains a significant strength, resonating with a wide audience.

A notable casting choice in the film is Anjan Dutt as Nitai Jyatha, a departure from his usual moody roles, and Prosenjit Chatterjee's appearance as a game show host adds an entertaining twist.

Overall, "Haami 2" offers a delightful cinematic experience, with elements that engage audiences of all age brackets. It explores the challenges and joys of modern parenting while showcasing the exceptional talent of its child actors. While it may have its moments of meandering, it's a film that brings warmth and laughter to the screen, reminding us of the enduring bonds that connect us all.

Saw how to make a good movie by working with childrens
Working with children in cinema or drama is very difficult. Even if the main character has a child, it becomes more difficult. Nandita Sivaprasad has shown that impossible task is possible.

The three characters in the three childs has acted incredibly well. Along with Shivprasad and Gargi gave proper accompaniment. The subject matter of the movie is very relevant.

The effect of reality show on children's mind and body can be better understood by watching the movie. A program of a reality show is shown in the movie. It could have been streamed and shortened. The songs do not touch the heart..
