Great new documentary
danstipanuk30 November 2009
Salty Language, Peppered Morals is the outstanding directorial debut by young Chicago filmmaker Andrew Zeiter. It is a poignant and fascinating look into the world of stand up comedy as it follows comic Mike Stanley, also of Chicago. Zeiter gracefully composes a film that flows with all the aspects of traditionally great documentaries while maintaining a fresh feel. The pacing for Zeiter's mid-length debut is as natural and compelling as an Errol Morris film. The music is deftly chosen by Zeiter, who also handles editing and photography duties. Salty Language, Peppered Morals is an exploratory look into the secret world of stand up comedy with (naturally) hilarious results.
