The rest of the show is somewhat progressive, discussing topics like systemic racism and queer representation, so this episode especially surprised me with how aphobic it was. Asexuality is a running plotline in this episode, being the butt of the joke and seen as an insult and something that conventionally unattractive people are. Even at points in the story where it could be resolved, explained, and redeemed, the exact opposite happens, as they keep insulting asexuality. Absolutely abysmal aphobia for a show that's seemingly keen on looking somewhat progressive, I was extremely surprised that this could come out in current day.
