When Harvey Korman overhears molly Hagen telling her mother over the phone that she doesn't have $1,100 to lend her, the hotel goes in a tizzy, thinking that her mother needs serious medical attention. When that amount of money becomes missing from petty cash, owner Brian McMamara suspects Korman, but he (as everybody else does) seems to have an alibi. There's also a mysterious gorilla seen gallivanting about the hotel, as do all hotels.
This is a slapstick filled episode with a bit of pathos, but the slapstick just goes seemingly too far especially with Cloris Leachman Ms. Frick, and her encounter with the gorilla. The closing scene is nearly identical to one that she had with Korman in "High Anxiety". It's one of those sitcom moments where you actually look at the person you're watching it with and ask, "Did what I see just happened really happen?" Deborah Wakeham guest stars as a fitness guru who gets into a tumbling match with Cloris, finding that she has indeed met her match.
