Who killed the nanny? This wasn't actually answered. Was it the grandmother who was conveniently in the park at the time? Even though she turned out not to be the villain we were led to believe? Or was it Megan's husband, who also turned out to be plot twist material? It couldn't have been Megan, as she was with Hallie at the time...

So bad .. even for a lifetime movie. Only Eva can act. It's just a 5 minute plot on in loop. Panics about child abduction... Gets child next to her. This continues for over 120 minutes. Terrible writing. Terrible cast. 0/10 if possible.

An unusual review!

Warning: Spoilers
As with most Lifetime movies which have one or more facepalm moments, this one did not fail to do just that at least on one occasion.

So the nanny/babysitter/helper around the house while strolling Ava in the park sees a friend. The friend shouts something at her and she says I can't hear you, so what does she do? She leave Ava's stroller and walks a few feet forward to better hear her friend and they have a mini conversation. In other words she leaves Ava unattended for a few seconds. Next thing a gloved hand puts something in the nanny's water bottle. (huge facepalm moment. I mean so huge that it leaves one with a sore head and red mark on the forehead) Now the puzzling thing is that this is happening while the antagonist, Megan has arrived at Hallie's house for lunch. It does not need Sherlock Holmes or Hercules Poirot or Mrs. Marple to figure out that there is something seriously wrong here with the plot. How could Megan be at two places at the same time, or, how could she manage to lace nanny's water with drugs wearing the usual Lifetime killer/antagonist uniform (i.e. Dressed in black, wearing gloves and a hoodie) and then manage to get to Hallie's house all made up and glowing and hair in place and not sweating or out of breath?

We do eventually discover that Megan's husband was tailing her to see what she was up to according to himself when he is talking to Hallie. If he was tailing her then how come he missed Megan doing the evil deed in the park? Furthermore, we see him sitting behind two monitors watching the spycam in the teddybear. WTH?

So yes, this is an unusual review. I didn't bother to do a routine synopsis etc. I do hope these idiot Lifetime movie making gang do read reviews of their handiworks on IMDb, so that at least they learn something, especially the super idiot screenwriters.

On a final note. Morgan Bradley bears a striking resemblance to Gina Holden, her facial bone structure, her hair, her posture, and even to an extent her voice. But after checking her profile I know that they're not mother and daughter or sisters. She happens to be a Kiwi.

Predictable like all Made For TV Thrillers

Warning: Spoilers
Stolen In Her Sleep(A Broken Mother) is a 2022 made for tv thriller about a woman who's baby had heart surgery and is suffering with hallucinations and anxiety ever since. Things change when she meets a woman at a cafè and they hit it off. However strange things happen as a hooded man is following the woman around and the woman thinks she's losing the plot. Is there someone out to get the woman and why?.

Overall it was very bad. I knew who the mastermind was as this person was also in another baby snatching film a few years prior and they played the same psychopath all over again. Also can we talk about the main woman like why was she so laxydaisy towards her baby, like seriously she will win worst mom of the year.

Headaches! Hallucinations! Paranoia!
lavatch12 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
One has to feel for poor Hallie Reynolds. Ever since college, the talented artist has battled with her demons. But now, she is tormented by an unknown adversary who would appear to want to steal her baby Ava.

After Ava had a successful heart transplant from a kind donor, the lives of Hallie and her husband James are finally starting to approach normalcy. Hallie is taking her daily meds to counteract paranoia and trying to get back to her painting. Then, the nightmare begins when the babysitter is murdered right around the appearance of the mother-in-law from hell.

Lynne Reynolds is an especially nasty smother-mother to James. Now, she begins to make Hallie's life miserable. There is also a new friend in Hallie's life in the art PR specialist Megan Devereux. Along with a mysterious male stalker, Hallie's life begins to unravel.

There was good suspense and dramatic tension in the home stretch of the film. But the hospital scene was excessive in the transformation of Hallie's relationship with the wicked mother-in-law. The smarmy hugging of each other while James was in a coma was over-the-top and not very believable.

The film producers found an adorable baby for little Ava. Also, the art works, the studio, and the gallery were effective scenes to show off the paintings of Hallie. The emotionally wrenching ending at the palatial home of Megan and Luke was filled with melancholy and was well-acted.

The film's original title of "A Broken Mother" was better than "Stolen in Her Sleep." There was also an especially nice touch in the final painting at Hallie's exhibit with "Ava" and "Lily." That was an effective, tear-jerking ending to a well-crafted film.

Nothing else to watch so I watched this. Half an hour in I wondered why I was bothering and was ready to give it the usual 1 star. Am glad I didn't give up. Nuff said.

"You told me you never got to say goodbye to your daughter." Oh please!
CranberriAppl2 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
First off, isn't Alicia Leigh Willis tired of playing women who want other women's babies? She may have one Lifetime movie outside of that characterization. Oh yeah...she plays a mom of a daughter someone else wants. Ugggghhhh.

Second and the point of my title, I couldn't stop myself from rolling my eyes when after all the terror Megan caused, the murder, the assaults, etc Hailey allows her to be close to Ava to say "goodbye" to her daughter (donor heart). It doesn't matter the reason. Who would let the woman attempting to kidnap your child near her? She let her nuzzle her! Why enable her?

On top of this movie being the generic "someone wants my baby" movie, it does drag on as another reviewer mentioned. The only good thing is that her husband and his mother weren't the villains as would be possible in a Lifetime movie.

There's the senseless death of the babysitter. Literally no investigation of it. After it happens, it's back to the plot of the movie. I am over senseless deaths in these movies where they don't drive the story at all. Once Mary was murdered, nothing about the story changed.

The best and only reasons I watched this movie were Meredith Thomas and Chance from Y&R.
