The script of the "Seinfeld Reunion" show has Amanda (George's ex-wife) pulling all of her money out of Bernie Madoff's ponzi scheme before it collapsed. The truth is, if Amanda DID make money in an illegal ponzi scheme, any gains that she would have acquired would have been "clawed back" and redistributed to the victims who LOST money as restitution. This exact scenario occurred with the Wilpon Family who owned the New York Mets at the time. They invested in Madoff's scheme but divested before the collapse.
