During the opening narration, the roman numerals for the various monster figures are impossible. XXVIM (not a number) could be MXXVI (1026) and MXMVI (not a number) could be MCMXCVI (1996).
The narrative implies Elsa is watching the werewolf turn. This is impossible, however, because his shadow is cast behind her, but not on her, while she is looking directly at the camera.
