WOW!
jduyrhfngj2 November 2021
This episode is what TV can be when not restricted by network channel PG content. Not only was the episode adult-friendly, the cinematography, camera work, dialogue, etc was greatly polished, professional and realistic. That ending scene gave me goosebumps.

Hopefully, the show now has a life past this season. Something I was concerned about given the change in airing day.

Immediate Impact
Toonfan842 November 2021
The shots, camera angles, the language everything is just better coming away from the family type show that CBS tried to maintain. Don't get me wrong it worked for 4 seasons but this switch in platform just seems to step up the show for the better. Great episode and shows that the show runners want this to continuously improve.

Finally!! Colorful language!!
kreshenda2 November 2021
The switch in platforms has come with enrichment in language that makes it more realistic. Episode five is intense and gritty. Camera work, exposure and sets are all .. well it's kinda like when it went from black and white to color in the Wizard of Oz. Expletive yes!

FINALLY
vonronken12 November 2021
This is the type of show I was always hoping it would become. I thought I was watching 13 Hours in Benghazi again. I have watched it since the pilot episode and was always irritated at how "family friendly" the show tried to be. Add to that the CW drama factor that steadily increased as the series progressed and I was losing interest. Then BAM we get this episode that blew me away. The shift to Paramount Plus was a great move in allowing the grittiness of the subject matter to shine through. I served for eight years in the military (not as an operator) and the sudden change in dialog, while not quite as vulgar as I remember, lent a lot to the realism of the show. The step up in the violence and other team members getting more screen time was also a huge win. Thanks so much Paramount Plus.

People who hunt terrorists don't use words like " Friggin' "
scotty-613918 November 2021
Shows always been good but its about time it was a bit more realistic if your getting into fire fights and taking out suicide bombers I doubt you would use words like Friggin or damn.

The Language Upgrade Was Much Needed
gbarrett-3994111 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This was a very good episode. The CIA folks seem a bit over the top, but otherwise it was good. I like the new use of F-bombs adding to the realism of actual military life.

Double meaning
JasonSterling2921 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is titled "Frog on the tracks" which I thought just meant frogmen(on the tracks/train) but I found out via a Google search that there is a thing called track frog. The meaning is: A frog is commonly used on rail corridors to divert a train from one track to another.

I don't have to spell it but the meaning in a less literal sense is Frogmen(SEALs) changing the course of events from suicide bombers blowing up an embassy to killing said bombers.

One of the best episodes in a good series.

Why all the F-words.. for 4+seasons this show did excellent without having to go to the so called adult language extreme.. why now spoil this for us who do not appreciate foul language??? This is just sad and unnecessary..

Good but didn't like the adult language
danielpwarton6 April 2022
Unlike every other review that's on this episode, I didn't like the F words. Throwing in swear words doesn't make a show better. Yes, more likely the language they would use but it was just as intense and realistic (although my military friends may disagree) without the strong language.

I liked the fact it was decent without the strong language that others shows seem to want to use all the time now.

Realistic!
theduke-8356116 January 2022
Way better, entertaining, enjoyable, and REALISTIC! Seal Team is my favorite show on tv and I look forward to it every week and even rewatch when nothing else is worth watching. If doing stuff in the house I basically use it as white noise so to say. I pray for more seasons or spinoffs.

First on Paramount+ means first to let the profanity FLY!!!
wrushrd16 March 2024
I LOVE LOVE LOVE-ADORE-did I mention LOVE this show? As a retired member of the special services, I can confidently say that they got it right with this show. HOWEVER, I have a BIG problem with the "new found freedom" of Paramount+ and all concerned parties feeling the need to "showboat" the profane dialog as being "free from the confines of the FCC".

I am NOT a fan of a LOT of things the FCC has done in the past, but looking at THIS (?), I say "Thank God for the FCC"! Why? Simple.

I LOVE (LOVED?) this show because I was able to watch it with my kids and grandkids and talk to them about what I did for my country.

Sure, OF COURSE, within the military there is VERY salty language thrown around-constantly, in fact. Moreover, when you have bullets literally "whizzing" by your ears, you can and will say and do anything-even a preacher would curse himself blue in such a situation; so, I am NOT here to judge, NOR am I here to criticize the decision to write such language in this or subsequent episodes. It is real. It does happen. BUT, to the writers, etc., I say this: KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE!!!

This is a show that started on CBS (prime-time TV), was taken over by a subscription service-OBVIOUSLY money was involved, but AS SOON as it changed hands the powers that be either thought or forgot (or both) about its viewers-its fans-its reason for even EXISTING!

Long story short and to the point (from a special operator, veteran, and more importantly a father and grandfather who USED to enjoy sharing this show with his family)-KNOCK IT OFF!!! Get back to the way it was.

Suspense and action!
nstewart-855586 December 2021
This was such a fantastic episode! Packed with tension and action, the filming was so realistic you were caught up in every minute. I love Seal Team - all the actors and characters are so authentic and engaging. This is the best season yet, so I feel the move to Paramount+ has been positive. Hoping for more seasons to come.

2 complaints
moov_e_c_er24 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
First: I've never been on top of a train but there is no way in speed to easily avoid those lights. It looked like green screen of a cardboard train with bad unbelievable movement of train. Of same category the tunnels were totally clear of debris and electric boxes? Also no way only one comm would have issue and rest would be free and clear, especially from havoc command?

Second: the entire op and especially in command felt different and more like "hey let's put zero budget into this part"

The rest of episode was good, operational, interest and on point. Only other issue it was live streaming but didn't show who had the camera!

Why all the horrible profanity!
mamajaneogg9 July 2022
I am so sad that I will not be able to watch any more seasons of this beloved show because of all the F-bombs! So unnecessary! Now I think those words in my brain ... neuroplasticity caused by F-bomb TBI!!. What a shame because the acting is incredible!
