The Adults are Behind the Camera

Wonderful exploration not just of its stated subject, but also the deeper issues pertaining to its title - Adults. This close look at sexual relationships between teenagers and people a bit older than them includes a look at the recent Mayor of Portland's relationship with a 17 year old. But surprisingly the film also considers what it means to feel like an adult, and also to take responsibility for those we're mentoring. Most of all we're left feeling the importance of thinking before we act. The film uses the narrative, the medium and also the process to address these questions in a rich way. Wonderful film-making.

minutious perspective. maybe, too

It seems too...complicated. Sure, it is a honest perspective about a very delicate problem to the status of taboo, it gives different levels of the relations between teens and older partners , it explores, in open manner, a sort of confession /testimony/ recreation of the tension of an early moment. And it did that in beautiful way. But something, maybe as result of pudoire is not just realistic. And, not surprising because it is just a very personal aspect translated in a sort of labyrinth in the case what the man remains front to his bull.
