Peter Firth in MI-5 (2002)

Goofs

Episode #8.8

MI-5

Edit

Continuity

The bomb is stated to be on the seventh floor, but when it explodes it appears to be on about the third floor.
Ros is on the seventh floor with Price and the bomb, while Lucas is on the sixth floor. However, when Ros tells Lucas the Home Secretary and the Pakistani President are on the fifth floor, Ros goes down the stairs, and Lucas goes up. Lucas should be heading down the stairs too.
Ros states that Nightingale killed Price when they found out that Sarah had been captured, yet he appears alive and well in the hotel.

Factual errors

In the prologue the Pakistani Navy ship is shown to be conversing in Urdu with the Indian Submarine; however this exchange should have been in English as that is the official language of the Pakistani Army. Urdu would never have been used certainly not in the case of communication with a foreign country.

Revealing mistakes

The film of the submarine surfacing is obviously a reversed video of the submarine diving.

Plot holes

Ros learns which room the Home Secretary and the Pakistani President are in with less than two minutes left on the bomb timer. There is no way that Lucas would have enough time to get to the room and then get the President out to a safe distance at street level, from the fifth floor, in that time.
