Ellen is accused of being a witch. In the Twelfth Century accusations of witchcraft were considered a peasant superstition by the Church. The witch craze did not begin until at least 200 years later and was largely a phenomenon of the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries.
King Stephen is constantly referred to as Your Majesty. The First English king to adopt this title was Henry VIII.
A herald announces that King Stephen will see the "Bishop of Lancaster". Lancaster was a duchy, not a diocese. There was no "Bishop of Lancaster".
