The movie talks about turkeys being happy until the third Thursday of November comes, but Thanksgiving is on the fourth Thursday. The turkeys are slaughtered at least a week ahead of time to ensure that they're on grocery store shelves the weekend previous, when most people do their shopping.

When Phoebe has her surgery, Liza would no longer be on Medicaid. The company would have a good health plan, and the costs would all be covered. However, a central premise of the film is that Liza, Dr. Neel, and the company are unethical, and the events take place before U.S. healthcare reforms were enacted requiring larger companies to provide coverage. Although it would be unusual for a pharmaceutical company to provide no health plan or a high-deductible plan, it is not entirely implausible, and neither is it implausible that Liza would attempt to cheat the system.

Phoebe has a seizure and is diagnosed with an AVM. The MRI shows a lesion that could be compatible with an AVM deep in the brain on the left side (at least for standard MRI). To remove this through craniotomy is extremely challenging and risky and you can question if it is operable at all. A procedure through the nose for this case is total nonsense. Later she is seen in bed, obviously doing very well, with a scar on the right side (!).

For a deep CAVM, there would be no visible scar, it would be operated upon through the arterial system via a catheter. She could be doing very well fast enough but she would be likely to lose her hair due to large amounts of imaging X-rays used during the procedure.

In 2011-2012, Liza gives her mother Jackie a Mercedes-Benz SUV that was introduced in 2019.

As a good sales rep, Liza would smoke cigarettes in the parking lot with Lydell, several times.
