- David Sawyer: It seems that Phillip is coming home from Kingdom for the summer. Just need to clear some time on my schedule that day to pick him up.
- Mrs. Sawyer: Why?
- David Sawyer: Why am I picking him up or why is he coming home for the summer?
- Mrs. Sawyer: Is that your idea of a joke?
- Esther: Well, God's people don't go around hungover.
- Phillip Sawyer: You really believe everything, don't you?
- [Esther has been explaining her believes - which include the religious avoidence of foods coming from pigs such as hotdogs and, because of geletin, marshmellows - and her expections for the afterlife]
- Esther: There's paradise for Jesus and the elect, and a lake of fire for Satan and his demons to burn up in.
- Gabriel: Satan, demons, and... imbibers of certain confectioneries.
- David Sawyer: Now, Phillip, if you can find her, if she's willng to make things right, you can have her.
- Gabriel: Truth is truth. If I turned my back on anything it was the culture of Christianity, not the truth of it.
- David Sawyer: Esther Harris has come forward this morning to confess her sins. She has broken standards too numerous to mention. She is without excuse. She will need to prove that she is once again worthy of her baptism. The Bible does teach us that there is grace for those who are willing to ask the Lord for forgiveness. That will be all, Miss Harris.
